For the next several months, we will dwell on the mystery of God and suffering. We will accompany seekers from the Hebrew and Christian Testaments, from the early Church and classical theology, as well as theologians who have wrestled with this reality in modern times. How do we speak rightly and respect both God and human suffering?
We will be guided in our reflections by Fr. Robin Ryan and the research he has done on this topic.
For our first meeting we will have an “Introduction to the Mystery” and reflect on our own attempts at resolution. We will begin our study of those who have wrestled with this mystery.
