November 2, is a day of joy and thanksgiving for the Sisters of Mount Carmel. On November 2, 1833, our foundresses, Mother Therese Chevrel and Mother Augustin Clerc, arrived in New Orleans aboard the Olympia. They had set sail from Le Havre, France on September 8, 1833. We have been blessed to continue to serve the people of God for 180 years.
