“I have learnt through bitter experience the one supreme lesson to conserve my anger, and as heat conserved is transmitted into energy, even so our anger controlled can be transmitted into a power which can move the world.” – Gandhi

We have all seen something of the violence and destruction that can result from anger. We feel confusion as to how to channel this incredible energy, to be ourselves without harm to others.  Sister Barbara Breaud will discuss how we can minimize hurt and tragedy and maximize wisdom, compassion, and love.  Let us reflect together with Jesus, like us in all things but sin, who experienced anger.

Jesus never speaks of an angry God.

In Mark 3:5, we read, “Jesus looked around at them with anger; he was grieved at their hardness of heart.”

Matthew 4:17  shows us a Jesus who: “made a kind of whip of cords and drove them all out of the temple area, sheep and oxen alike, and knocked over the money changers’ tables, spilling their coins.  He told those who were selling doves: ‘Get them out of here! Stop turning my Father’s house into a marketplace.’”
