May 30, 2014 some members of the Sisters of Mount Carmel gathered at their Motherhouse in New Orleans, Louisiana to celebrate the Jubilee of Sisters Germaine Lauzon, Andrée Marie Bindewald, Blaise Fernando, and Sister Francetta Scherer, SCC. The sisters honored Sister Lucie Leonard, O. Carm. for receiving her GulfAge Distinguished Service Award for her service to the elderly. The sisters also celebrated in thanksgiving for the safe trip of Sisters Lawrence Habetz and Maria Sheila Undang from the Philippines, and for Sister Dolores, SCC for her presence in the New Orleans, as she is being called to a new ministry in Kansas.
