Pew Research in 2016 estimated that 1.6 billion persons or 22% of the world identify as Muslim. 3.5 million North Americans follow Islam. Pope Francis in Evangelli Gaudium writes: “Our relationship with the followers of Islam has taken on great importance.”
Join us at Carmel Center Saturday, April 16 from 10 am – noon for an opportunity to learn about Islam and ask what questions you may have. Our presenter is Mrs. Ghazala Khan, a native of Pakistan and naturalized American citizen who has been in this country since 1980. Mrs. Khan has taught at Mount Carmel Academy in New Orleans since 1989.
