The Sisters of Mount Carmel are proud of the collaborative progress made in Timor-Leste, but there is still much to be done in this nation wounded by injustice and armed conflict.  

A formation house is in the process of being constructed in Hera, about 20 minutes outside of Dili. The house will provide the needed space for our postulants and aspirants. The formands will be able to attend the Inter-congregational Formation Program offered in Dili. To quote Sister Mailyn Batocabe, “Thank you Lord and for all the people behind this. Inspired by all the limitations and challenges… Blessings abound.”  

Please continue to keep the sisters and their missionary work in your prayers. In order to continue our vital work in Timor-Leste, we must rely on the generosity of others.  We have compiled a list of essentials needed to furnish the new formation  house.  No donation is too small. We are most grateful for your support.
